Moving Forward

It was probably about 3 years ago when I first dreamed of the ‘Lean Life Clean Life’ brand I wanted to create. I bought my domain, created my blog, and started doodling logos. I bought all the textbooks for becoming a personal trainer. Although I had a passion for all things health and fitness, it never felt quite like the time for this to happen for me. As badly as I wanted it, I knew God was telling me to wait. That sucks, right? But if we do things on God’s time, He can help us create something so much bigger than what we can accomplish alone.

So now, I’m back. A lot has changed in 3 years. I’ve quit my full time job as a restaurant general manager/caterer/event coordinator. I know own a company that makes soy candles. I went from a gluten-free diet, to paleo, to being pregnant and maintaining gluten-free but eating EVERYTHING sweet in sight, to now living full time in ketosis. I had a baby last year! That was kind of a crazy experience!

So what can you expect from this blog?

  • I want to be a source for all things health, fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness. Recipes, workouts, yoga poses, and how our bodies work.
  • I want to provide knowledge to what products are safe for us to use and to put on our children, and what products contain toxic chemicals we should avoid.
  • Running a business at home with a now-ten month old can get a little hectic! I’m nowhere near being an expert in this, but I like to think I’m pretty self-aware and want to share this journey with you guys! The good and bad, all transparent.
  • I wouldn’t be true to myself or this blog if I didn’t mention that I strive to keep every aspect of my life God-centered. Without Him, I couldn’t put one foot in front of the other, much less be the parent Grayson needs me to be.

We’re coming to a close here, and I’m really feeling optimistic and inspired. You can expect a lot more blogging from me from now on! Seriously, it’s written down in my Lilly agenda. It’s official.

I want to end with something I’m grateful for. Today, it’s Shane. Sounds so cliche, but without him, I wouldn’t be able to stay home with Grayson. I wouldn’t be able to give my candle company the fighting chance I’m putting forth. He’s such a good, selfless provider for our family. I have to beg him to spend money on himself because he’s always thinking if Grayson and I have everything we need. For all this, I’m grateful.
